The Revelation Gym

Hi all,

Just a short note to say that we will always try to have someone at the gym during the bad snow spells but please remember if you're unlikely to make it then pretty sure the two senior  instructors are not going to be able to make it since they live at the two main cities.

Revelation Gym is delighted to introduce our own Samurai Sam childrens' class for the early years age group of 3 - 5 year olds.

This class will be an activity and fun based class involving social skills, music and movement, educational activities, motor sensory development with pre-school level gym, also incorporating basic introductions to the other martial arts classes available in the gym.

When the children are old enough they can then transition naturally to our Lil' Dragons class which has been designed for infants aged 5 - 8 years.

We are thoroughly delighted to have Mrs Sheena Morrison as our specialist Revelation Gym leader of the Samurai Sam age group.

Sheena is well known in the community and has a vast array of knowledge and experience having worked in Maisondieu Nursery as a Nursery Nurse and early years practitioner for many years. Sheena will of course continue to do this alongside helping with the Samurai Sams class.

She will also be accompanied by a small team of people chosen to help with some of the specialist martial activities and or other duties as asked for by Sheena, other helpers will be Kevin Mclellan (Revelation Gym), Claire Menmuir (Nursery Nurse in training at New Friends Nursery) and where necessary other Revelation Gym disclosure checked coaches.

Please note that this class should never be viewed as a means of replacing existing nursey placements in local nurseries, rather as an extra curricular activity for an age group which can help to maintain health and wellbeing, foster a sense of fun, aid social skills and further enrich the lives of young children alongside professionals who look after children on a daily basis in our local community.

The following dates have been chosen by Mark and I for various events:

4th December - LD, ITF & Revelation Gym Stand Up Grading

16th December - Children's Xmas party/fun night (all kids invited)

20th December - Last night before Xmas

Apologies to all but I have a wedding to go to and Mr Mitchell is on paternity leave for three weeks so there is no training this saturday. All the Lil' Dragons classes will need to be covered by another instructor or join the TKD class until Mark is back.
